So while I was out of town, I had the chance to take photos of my friend who is posing as the subject of this painting. The redrawing of her face is already a huge improvement, but I am wondering if the decision to change the color of her sweater is a good one. I think the original turquoise might have been a better fit for the mood of the piece; maybe the coral is too bold for this quiet little corner seat. I'll consider the options in the coming week.
