Had something to attend to earlier today, so I got a late start at the easel. While I have done a few grisailles in the past, notably on the Polaroid series, I haven't worked on anything quite as detailed as this. It's a 16"h x 20"w aluminum panel, prepared with a gesso coat; unfortunately, the finish is slightly pebbly, and resistant to a hard edged line... so I'm having to adjust to that.
