I figured it was time to get back to this painting. This is Bluemont Vineyard, miles and miles west of Washington DC, across the Shenandoah; what's most amazing about it is that on a clear day you can see the Washington Monument off in the distance on the edge of the skyline! No kidding!

Oh, and I patched those fingerprints on The Chair. One more layer of warm golden color and I'll be able to peel off the frisket and start on the figures. All in all, a good day's work.
