Draperies

The curtains around the window are layered— there are white raw silk ones on the outside, and lacy ones on the inside. The silk ones are lined with thin cotton, but they still allow some of the wall color to show through, and certainly the light. The lacy ones are more transparent, and I'm wondering if the overall image would be better served if I left off the lace pattern and just treated them as sheers.
