"You're Not Going To Paint Every Hair"

 This was good advice back in art school, when we were realizing that we just wanted to catch the essence of something and not labor over the details. Of course, that was before the advent of Photorealism. Now I'm trying to find a happy medium.

I'm concentrating on the hair right now because it soothes me to paint all those lovely long strokes. But the eyes need to be larger, and ultimately the skin will have blue shadows cast from nearby foliage.
