A few days ago I was exposed to an article about the virtues of Smalt Blue, and particularly its use as a glazing blue, so I bought some. It's a pretty color, and though it's not right for the garish sunset below, I'll try it in some other pieces.
I did break out the flat brushes, finally, and have been trying some different strokes and dabs on the sunset piece.
