Trying Not To Overdo

So, this morning I thought I'd finally get to the fun part of this painting: putting in the stars and transitioning to fireflies or moths as the eye travels to the lower part of the sky.

But first I wanted to even out the subtle halo around the moon a little more:


And here it is with some stars in the sky. I'm putting it aside for a couple of days to see if it needs more or if I should just leave it alone. When it dries down, that dark ring should be invisible.
