Whipped Cream

True photorealists don't allow raised brushstrokes on their paining surfaces; the strokes detract from the illusion of reality. I happen to love whipped cream, and thinking about its fluffy texture when I'm painting it tricks me into making thick strokes of paint to mimic the airiness. So despite my original intentions to make these little dessert works hyperreal, I bow instead to the gods of expressionism.
