A Quandary
What to do now? The sky looks pretty good to me, maybe I should simplify a few spots but it's mostly working. I had to knock back some brownish-greenish areas by over painting them with some French Ultramarine and white— French Ultramarine always seems to look violet to me when mixed with white— and now the cloud color looks much more balanced. But I had planned to paint some large, waving-in-the-wind birch trees in the foreground... and I'm not sure that wouldn't be a mistake.
