Figure Painting Class

That class with Gavin Glakas that I've been taking online for a couple of weeks now is going pretty well, though I still have trouble figuring out how to apply paint in a reasonable succession of steps. I think it goes: after getting the proportions correct, apply the midtone lights and the midtone shadows. Then work in the transitional colors/values, the more, the better. Go toward the blue/green side of the color wheel for planes that turn away.
