Tamping Down The Violent Orange
The orange color in this piece was hideously angry and it didn't work at all with the soft blues and aquas and yellows. So I scumbled some whitened-down Alizarin Crimson over the raised relief areas, and then wiped it back. It looks better. I'll go back in with some more of those cooler colors next.
