Since the palette I was using for
Le Diplomate was full of earth tones, it made sense to work on something that could utilize those colors. I like the fact that wood grain is so forgiving when you paint it, and how easy it is to do with a scruffy brush.

And putting that spoon in was definitely the right idea.
