Not much new to report today, but if you look at the last iteration of Daily Bread and compare it to today's work, you'll see the column at the left coming into focus— where the blue tape had been.The middle portion was done with three successively darker shades of brown; hard to see here, but it adds so much to the sense of reality in the actual painting. After it dries I'll finish the column off on the right side, where it's sort of scratchy looking right now.
