Much To Do This Week

So far this morning I've painted in a truck on the right side of the window and lengthened the street shadows; also added a blue glaze to the trees on the hill, though I'm not sure that's working. I think the right sides of the faces need lighter tones to emphasize them, and overall, there needs to be more nuance.

I am feeling more ambitious today. I want to study three sources of information on facial tones; one from a book, which outlines mixing different colors to achieve warm and cool palettes; one from that workshop I took a while ago— will review the notes I took during the session— and the third from the online tutorial I purchased a year ago. I'm determined to make some progress, especially with the young women in The Chair.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking of getting back to the Atlantic Ocean Series. I'd always intended it to comprise 16 paintings, 12 of which I've completed. And while I'm at it, the Postcards, too; there should be 15 of those.
