Some Paintings For Today

I got a lot done today, and here's the work:

On the above, worked mainly on cleaning up some of the buildings on the left. It's going to be a slow process, waiting for each new layer of paint to dry before working on adjacent areas.

 I sanded off most of the plate. It had too many visible brush marks. This and the one below are examples of me overthinking stuff and going too far. That being said, today's session went relatively well, so we'll just have to see how it turns out.

 Overpainted the plate. Will probably have to sand this one down, too.

It took a long time, but I figured out how to resolve the foreground. Painted some red/green mixes on the reedy stalks, and added some fuzzy flowers; more to come.

More Questions: Too Blue?

 Maybe the tablecloth is too blue, and maybe I should tone it down a little. And have I overdone the yellow in the curtains?

 After some extremely careful measuring, I've sloshed paint all over the drawn lines. But that's the way it goes every time.

Two For One

I've been using the same yellowy mix on two different paintings lately, and this afternoon I had it on my palette for the roses painting, so I set up the one with the crow too. There will be a second crow once the paint dries.
