A Birthday Celebration

A dear friend of ours had a birthday yesterday. We'd invited friend and spouse to have dinner with us and spend the night since we have a guest room (albeit small) so they could relax and not have to worry about the drive home. But this meant a day and a half of house and yard cleaning, since we do live like two free spirits here regarding our attitude toward the home environment. Plus, there was a great deal of cooking to be done. Anyway, a good time was had by all, and today we are taking it easy. Back to painting tomorrow. Sometimes you have to take a day to just enjoy life.
