Straight Lines

The left side of this piece has a lot of straight lines, which are no fun to paint at all. Plus, my brush wasn't entirely cooperative; you need to get a fine point for this kind of work and the brush had a mind of is own. The Winsor & Newton University Rounds are good for this sort of thing because you can get the tip to go completely flat, but I didn't think of that in time.

Anyway— here's this afternoon's work.
