The Universe Conspires Against Me

We've had a LOT of rain here and as a result the power went out this morning before I sat down at the easel; I tried to pull the easel as close to the window as possible, but it was still hard to do any precise work. I ended up trying a headlamp!

This is crazy.

Spotlight on the painting, but the light had a yellow ring:

Anyway: moved the wood grain along.

Had to stop, finally; couldn't adequately gauge the color. Eventually the power came back, but by then there were other claims on my time. Tomorrow!
